Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Jimmy on 02-17-2014 Re: XML Date integration into InfoPath form - whole number to date format I believe you should be able to convert the Excel date values to XML date values with this formula (in InfoPath) xdDate:AddDays("1899-12-31", ValueFromExcel) The value of xdDate:AddDays("1899-12-31", 42369) is 2016-01-01 (I believe the Excel value for 1/30/2014 is 41669). If this is for display-only, you can ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Jimmy on 02-17-2014 Re: Price/Total Errors Well, what's the datatype of the field? Does it have any validation rules? Posted to General (Forum) by Jimmy on 02-11-2014 Re: Displaying a filtered Sharepoint list, how to hide blanks? Hi Chris, To add on to what Patrick said, the simple answer is that you can use conditional formatting on a repeating table to hide rows that you don't want to be visible. That is supported in browser forms and will eliminate empty spaces. Unfortunately, that's not entirely simple in this case because the formula ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by Jimmy on 02-09-2014 Re: Publish to PDF button You can use a SaveFileDialog (built into .NET) to allow the user to select a file name, and then provide that value to the Export() method. The code sample on the MSDN page shows how to open a stream for the selected file, but instead of doing that, you can access the .FileName property when ShowDialog() completes to get the path to ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Jimmy on 02-09-2014 Re: Price/Total Errors One alternative formula you could try is:round((@itemPrice * @itemQuantity) * 100) div 100That might give you better luck in terms of the trailing digits. Could you clarify what you mean when you say it "still errors on invalid data"? What invalid data are you referring to? Posted to General (Forum) by Jimmy on 02-09-2014 Re: Format Time from the now() Please try this for the red part. My original version may have been a little too funky: substring(now(), 12, 2) mod 12 + 12 * ((substring(now(), 12, 2) mod 12) = 0) Posted to General (Forum) by Jimmy on 02-05-2014 Re: Format Time from the now() Here's how you can adjust the hour number:substring(now(), 12, 2) mod 12 + 12 * not(substring(now(), 12, 2) mod 12)And here's how you can get the AM/PM part:substring("AMPM", 1 + 2 * (substring(now(), 12, 2) >= 12), 2)Note that if you have qRules, you can use the FormatDate command to do this much more ... Posted to General (Forum) by Jimmy on 02-04-2014 Re: the future of InfoPath Hello jaxkookie, As shown in this comparison chart, InfoPath should be available in a standalone edition, as part of Office Professional Plus, and in three of the Office 365 subscription models: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Office_2013#Comparison Does that answer your question? Posted to General (Forum) by Jimmy on 02-03-2014 Re: QRULES removes %20 from URL when it copies it... leaves the URL with spaces instead Hello geronimo, I am fairly certain that there is nothing in qRules that would be replacing the %20s with spaces. The SetValue command simply copies the values as-is without modifying them (I have also verified this in a test form just now). So I have to suspect that your original URL values already have spaces ...
