• User and multiple roles

I have a form that has the employee role as the initiator role, and then I have a manager role, Approver Role, and CFO role. My question is this: Can I have a user in multiple roles? For example, Brian is a manager, but he is also the CFO, therefore he is also an employee. Matt (just in the employee) can open the ...

  • Re: Employee cannot open forms saved on shared drive.

I don't have a solution that is particularly solve your form opening issue, but I do have a solution that would help ensure no loss data. You should have all your forms setup to save all the content in a sql server database or another global database that way it would ensure that no data is lost. The data can then be made usefull ...

  • Re: Formatting File Name

there sure is. On that last step, you select the function or equation box to the right of the file name box. Use the concat function and you can add the fields right there. Another option would create a field that has the filename in it already(using the concat function) and just selecting that text box for the file name in setting up ...

  • Re: Switching views after submit

How I handle this is by assigning a value to a text box on submit. Then using the open option rules to open the appropriate view. Example: ViewID (text box that holds value that corresponds with a particular view) So in your case I would default set ViewID = 1 for User View, then on first submit assign the value = 2 for Manager 1 view, and ...

  • Re: Cannot edit document in SharePoint when the primary key is on the form.

My first question would be, is the form created from a datasource? Sounds like your form submits to a database on open, if you are later submitting, I would not bother with this step. Another possible reason is that you have an old document on sharepoint and since that document was saved to sharepoint, you have published a new form to ...
