• Submit to multiple data sources

Hello: I'm relatively new to InfoPath and am curious how you would go about submitting to more than one data source. It seems the Submit Options are limited to one source. So, let's say I have a status report that has a ''Deliverables'' section that I want to retrieve from and submit to a Deliverables Sharepoint list. I also have an ''Issues'' ...

  • Re: Can Submit Close InfoPath?

Trying all options presented ... this one worked: Application.ActiveWindow.Close(true); Where can I find help on the object model and these types of commands? I have a subscription to safari.informit.com, and am reading Patrick Halstead's Developing Solutions with Microsoft InfoPath. Are there any other great resources I should know about ...

Well, take that back. My version didn't work. Neither did this: thisApplication.ActiveWindow.Close(true); Any other thoughts why mine wouldn't be working? Thanks!

Thanks, Stephanie. I tried this JS: Application.ActiveWindow.Close(True); but get this error: A run-time error has occurred . . . ''True'' is undefined

  • Re: Can Submit Close InfoPath?

Thanks, Stephanie. Mine doesn't behave like that. If the user clicks ''Fill Out This Form'' from the forms library, they click Submit and the form is submitted and closed, but InfoPath is left open. Also, is there a way to code it so it would automatically close even if launched from within an email? Deb

  • Can Submit Close InfoPath?

I would like Submit to not only close the form, but close InfoPath. This application seems to scare the bejesus out of people and I'd like them to not be left in the middle of it once they've filled out a form. Thanks!

  • Re: Add Sharepoint List Items with InfoPath

In addition to the previous message (clarification here -- I'm new to InfoPath) I'm trying to create a status report that has a ''Major Efforts'' section that should work like this: The Major Efforts section should automatically populate with all the records from an Events Sharepoint List, filtered by the user's name entered in a another ...

Hello! I am getting the same error mentioned at the beginning of this thread; i.e., The SOAP response indicates that an error occurred on the server: Exception of type Microsoft.SharePoint.SoapServer.SoapServerException was thrown. <detail> <errorstring xmlns=''http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/''> List does not ...

  • Textbox automatically set based on drop-down

Hello: I have a question, but also wanted to thank you for the great tutorial on cascading drop-down lists. I am brand new to InfoPath and was able to follow and understand that tutorial without trouble. I have a little different need, though. I have a drop-down that is bound to the FullName column from a Contacts Sharepoint list. That list ...
