If you want Surgeries to be part of the text that they enter this will be a bit tougher to do. You could create a print view that contains that but for the data entry view it won't wrap ... Hi Jay, I created a quick sample here that might help - it's in InfoPath 2010 so hopefully you can open it. I used an expression box to show the currency in a seperate control in front of the "Total" field. The user choese currency from a drop down and this sets the expression box value. If you are trying to get that symbol ... Posted to InfoPath 2010 (Forum) by Ted Fitch on 03-07-2011 Re: Never built a workflow Hi Ryan, yes totally doable through InfoPath. What you do is maintian the workflow status fields in the InfoPath form and change the status as the form moves through the workflow. Promote that workflow status filed to SharePoint when you publish your template and that field will show in SharePoint. No SharePoint workflow needed here ... Posted to Workflow (Forum) by Ted Fitch on 03-07-2011 Re: Xmlformviewer Multiuser Edit Hi, why do you want to allow multiple users to have the same XML open at the same time? If you do that then the last person to save the XML will overwrite everyone else's changes and thus you have data loss. Unless I am misunderstanding your reuqest allowing multiple users to edit the same form at the same time is not a good idea! Ted Posted to General (Forum) by Ted Fitch on 03-07-2011 Re: Never built a workflow Hi Ryan, Your requirements are pretty simple and I think you could easily manage this via either workflow in your InfoPath form or via SharePoint workflow. There may even be a built in (default) workflow in SharePoint that handles your scenario out of the box, I recall there be a three tier workflow or something that you could just enable on ... Posted to Workflow (Forum) by Ted Fitch on 03-01-2011 Re: Inputting a QTY field generates addition fields (not repeating table) Hi, You can do this only with code as far as I know. We have a tool called qRules that does this already (using code, but you don't need to know the code - you just use the rules in InfoPath to call the code). http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/qRules_top.aspx We have a free trial version so you could check it out. The command ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Ted Fitch on 03-01-2011 Re: how to open infopath in webpage without submitting from to sharepoint ? InfoPath form services is required to open up InfoPath in the browser so you will need to use SharePoint. The form will need to be opened and rendered through SharePoint / IPFS to display in a browser. Ted Posted to InfoPath 2010 (Forum) by Ted Fitch on 03-01-2011 Re: Seting the Custom Task Pane Width Hi Steven, I am pretty sure there is not way to do this automatically. InfoPath saves "state" so that if a user changes the size of their taskpane the next time they open the form it keeps the setting that they just saved. For example if you move the taskpane to the bottom of your form or to the top or left any other form you open ... Posted to General (Forum) by Ted Fitch on 03-01-2011 Re: Code does not work on Web Form Hi Michael, What version of SharePoint are you using? If it's SharePoint 2007 did you make sure to admin deploy the form and approve it in SharePoint? That is required with a web form with code. If you are using SharePoint 2010 you can admin deploy or you can use the sandbox (no admin deploy required). Hope that helps Ted Posted to General (Forum) by Ted Fitch on 03-01-2011 Re: Wierd jumping in browser-enabled infopath form It sounds to me like you might have this conditional formatting being done a field somewhere else in the form that is not shown when you tick the check box? InfoPath is applying the formatting and jumping to that field? Have you also double checked the tab order of your fields?
