• Re: Format InfoPath form to size of Word doc with 1" margins

Hello Jack, There is no, however by using layout tables you could design a form that fit into that layout. I would create a test form with a grid that indicates the size of the boxes, and preview and test. My guess is that they total page size is around 700px. Hope that helps! Bre

  • Re: Can this even be done?

Hello Sephaerius, One method would be to map the data to a SharePoint list and then export to excel. You should then be able to upload the excel sheet to SharePoint in a Doc Library and use the refresh data to get the latest. qRules SubmitToSharePointList is the command that you would want to use for this. Here's a tutorial on how to use ...

  • Re: InfoPath preview is okay, but "Live" form fails

Hello BattleCat, I'm glad you found your answer! When debugging rules and logic in the browser, another good troubleshoot is to make sure that post-backs are set to always on fields or buttons that rules fire from. This will ensure that the values are calculated on change or on click. Thanks! Bre

  • Re: Start Date & End Date Using Calculated Field

Hello Manju, Here's an example. Take a look at the logic on the chosen date field. Here I've used the substring() function to parse out the chosen date, and create the start and end dates. The end date has some additional logic to account for months with varying dates. Hope that help! Bre

  • Re: Update record in another Sharepoint List

Hello Andre, This can be done in a few different ways. The first would be to promote those columns from the form in the SharePoint library, and make sure that you have a unique key in your SharePoint list. On submit, you can have a workflow to update the values where the unique keys match. Here is a webinar that details this method: ...

  • Re: Numbers display instead of text values

Hello bmatthew, Lookup columns can cause the issues that you are describing. When the 2DS repeating group is drug onto the form, you will see that the 3 lookup columns come through with the value of the ShPID, not the text that you are looking for. I would try creating data connections to each of the lookup lists, and instead of setting the ...

  • Re: Hide/show a colum with a button

Hello Dave, For this scenario you will need what we call a helper field. I would have the default value of the field set to 0, and then the button would switch to 1. In this instance you can have 1 button (trickier logic) or 2 buttons. With 2 buttons, 1 will set your helper to 1, and the other will set your helper to 0. Then on your ...

  • Re: how to save a Form view to be re used as a default

Hello infonewby, What you are describing is a starter template. In InfoPath you cannot copy logic or data connections from one form to the next, but there's a workaround. I would take your current production form and create your starter form. I would leave all the common fields and layout, but delete logic and fields ...
