• Re: Changing the date format in the File name on Submit

Hi Kei, The reason why you are not getting the 0 digits to appear is because you are converting everything to numbers with the number() function. When the number function sees the value '03' it will convert it into the number '3', because numbers do not have leading zeros on the left. If you remove the number() ...

  • Re: Insert Item in Repeating Table to be a Larger Button

Unfortunately InfoPath won't let you create a button with a rule to insert rows in a repeating table, so you'd have to write some code to get this to work. Here's a link to one of Jimmy's blog posts on programmatically adding rows to repeating tables: ...

Hi Evy, You can access list data inside InfoPath by setting up a secondary data connection and then querying the data connection to import specific data from the list. Here is a link to instructions on how to query a SharePoint list and import data into ...

  • Re: Infopath filled-in form to be edited

Hi Joe, Are you submitting your forms to a SharePoint form library? If so, then you can edit them by clicking on the form in the SharePoint library to re-open it. Whatever changes you make should be captured when you re-submit the form. I'm not sure what you mean by 'reroute' though, could you elaborate?

  • Re: Changing the date format in the File name on Submit

Hi Kei, The problem is that the 6 digits that represent time in the now() function are separated by colons, so using substring(now(), 10, 6) returns some digits and some colons. The number() function doesn't know what to do with the colons, so it returns NaN. Here is the correct ...

  • Re: qRulesLink in Seperate Repeating Table

Hi Bruce, Here is one idea: add another attribute to your file attachment field called IsLocked (true/false data type, default value = false), and then as part of your submit setup add a rule that sets IsLocked = true for all rows in your repeating table. Then, set a formatting rule on the attachment field to disable the ...

  • Re: adapt and submit changes

One quick & dirty codeless way is to associate a TRUE/FALSE Boolean field with each information field. If you only have around 10 information fields, it shouldn't take that much time to add these and set their default values to FALSE. Then, add an action rule to each information field that will set the associated ...

  • Re: Radio Button Validation Rules Being Ignored

Hi mnghost, What field do you have your validation rule on? Why not just put a condition on your Submit button as follows:MyRadioButton1 is not blank ANDMyRadioButton2 is not blank ANDCurrentView is equal to "MyView" That way the Submit will only go through if all the radio buttons have been answered and the user is ...

  • Re: Infopath form updates old items/forms in sharepoint libary

Hi Louise, Are you publishing your templates as content types? If not, you should be able to solve your problem using content types. The idea is that the old template and the new template will be different content types both published to the same library. First, you want to republish both the old and new templates as ...
