What is the error? What version of IP are you using? Are you using the 2007 object model or the 2003 object model? (look under Form Options, Programming, and see what the language is -- if you are using 2003, it will say so...)

I think that after changing your columns in SQL, you might have to 'refresh' your dataconnection in the form, so that the form 'knows' you now allow a longer number of characters. Have you tried selecting your main data connection in the Data Connections window, clicking 'Modify' and just walking through it again? Though ...

I have created the "Filename" field and put in the rules, but I don't think I've got the rules in ...

i have a form that i am using simple rules on the submit button to reset values after submission to "". the problem is there is a repeating table, so if they add 10 items, it just resets all 10 items to "" instead of just resetting it back to 1 row. is there a way to do this via simple rules or does code behind have to ...

Make a second "save" button next to your "submit" button on the form (not the built-in save/submit buttons on the toolbar, but rather custom buttons on the form). The Save button will just be a plain button that you rename and that has rules behind it.
Behind the Save button, add rules (no code)
Create a ...
