Why dont you save the form to a doc lib when the person fills the form, and just send the link over to the people who you want it to be signed by. That way your form does not get overwritten.

I would suggest you just put a submit button on the second view that just submits the form to the document library and does not trigger any workflow

Avoid using richtext boxes unless u really need them, richtextboxes are resource intensive and that might be the cause of your slow performing forms. as far as tab order is considered, you either put as tab index for every thing or explicitly gives tab index starting from 1 on wards. see if that resolves the problem. i guess after you ...

my best guess is that you are not updating the text field in which user data is imported. You have unchecked the option to "Update this value when the result of the formula is recalculated". Check that option in text field properties and it should work.

condition if textbox does not contain dropdown value
set value of textbox to concat (textbox, ",",dropdown)

did it stop your postbacks, that is the main concern here, as far as improving the performance, there is bound to be performance improvement but u might not notice it on faster connections

i guess some of your fieds(controls) on the form are having postback settings set to other than "never". Go to properties of each control and make the postback settings to never. That should resolve your this problem.

if you change the postback settings of richtext box, it should not cause any trouble to you. The default settings is "Only when necessary for correct rendering of the form". It might be happening that IP decides to do a postback when the rich text box undergoes some changes and the same thing does might not happen for ...
