I was wondering if anyone new of anyway to remove characters from field names, perhaps using Xpath? When I use submit to sharepoint to save my form to a library I'm using fields that can contain ampersands and brackets. Of course, these forms wont save with illegal characters. It's just dawed on me that I'm using file names with illegal characters, hence the reason it's not saving and I'm receiving that error message.

I want to check if the logged on user (Active Directory) is equal to the Created By field from a SharePoint list object. (Object can be a InfoPath form or word document or what ever…)
I can retrieve the Created By and Modified By field from a SharePoint list.
But the Created By field in SharePoint has the value of Display Name in Active Directory ...

When I use this technique I get the following error message maybe every 7 to 10 submits:
InfoPath cannot submit the form.
An error occurred while the form was being submitted.
The form cannot be submitted to the following location: http://portal:1844/C5/C4/PRGMIS/PRG_Milestones/Access to H & F Education.xml

Thanks but that won't work how i need it to work. I need the recipient of the form to be able to see those hidden fields. In the method above the status will be the same on the attachement that is being sent, hence not being able to see those hidden fields.

I have a infopath form, which has controls (textboxes, radio button, dropdown etc.).I want to get all controls in that infopath form and create RDL (SSRS) file using C#.

Hi,
You need to change order of your Rules. First should be Email Submit and second one should be Status.
In this way status will not be changed if you cancel the email also. And also your hidden sections will not be displayed.

I think you have added above rule to the Text box. Instead of that add that rule to the checkbox.
