Well - is this a filler form or a browser form? If filler, use user roles (easiest if you can put your users in an AD group so you don't have to change the form logic if the users change) - but you can also base conditional formatting off the userName() function if you have to for a browser form.

Hi - looks like you may have made a little error in rule order. Your form submits to the library and then you are setting your field to true. Well - when the form is re-opened from the library, it is the XML that was submitted prior to setting the field to true! Basically, you have saved your changes, then made another change and closed the form. ...

You could still store the value in a main data source field, I'm just suggesting you use an expression box to display the data.
I just tried this in a sample form, and the decimal displayed correctly in Filler - are you in Browser or Filler? What version? I've attached my sample here for you to try - save it locally, right click and ...

I am not sure where the bug is (VS or IP) but it just appears that some settings are put back to the default every single time you open the project. It is one of those things I sort of expect an update to come along at some point and fix.

I should add - I don't seem to be losing my using statement for System.Windows.Forms - just the reference - so that does sound like a difference between our two situations.

It isn't you! It is me as well, at least with System.Windows.Forms (oh, and setting the target version of .NET - that always defaults back to 2.0 for IP 2010 forms). It seems to me that this is an issue with the project defaults - in IP 2010 & 2007, if you had a filler form and added code, the ref to System.Windows.Forms would already be ...

Usually when I see this, qRules has been disabled because custom code was unintentionally added to the form. Easy test is to put the Command and Result nodes on the form, preview and type in GenerateGuid for the command - do you get a GUID in the Result node?
When I look at your form, it does appear code has been added - see screenshot attached. ...

Is your data source set to query on load? Can you temporarily drag the secondary data source onto the form so you can see the returned values? Drag your main data source field onto the form again too (if you are using a drop down for it) so you can verify that you have an exact match.

You'll need to include the OpenIn parameter - more here.

Hi - well, if you are displaying data from a secondary data connection, you can't make changes to that data - that is, when the data source is re-queried, any changes you made will be overwritten. Your XML file you get when you save your form will only ever include data from the main data source.
