Unfortunately rules are not carried along with a button when you copy+paste inside of the Designer. This is one of the big advantages of using code behind buttons instead of rules.
I'm confused, though, because I make almost every form browser-enabled with the toolbar turned off. In place of ...

FWIW, I have created my blog and have this concept in draft form to be finished as soon as I have time. For now, I have my first topic posted concerning pseudo User Roles for browser-enabled forms. I mention that here, because someone did click to my blog from this thread, so I assumed it was because of my mention of blogging.

I would not recommend doing it that way, and I don't necessarily think it's easier than what I stated. Here are my reasons:
You're adding an unnecessary data connection (assuming that's what you mean by #1) that adds overhead to your template and increases wait time upon initial loading of the form
You have to do ...

It's hard to answer without seeing the problem, because I never have this issue with dynamically referencing my forms due to spaces. I'm always able to directly reference the Forms Services URL for my browser-enabled forms, which of course is much tougher than just reference the direct XML file for rich client use. Maybe ...

I made a lot of changes to what I saw based on how I would build the form, so the XSN I have is not necessarily what you'll want. I think the main thing to do is what I mentioned about using a default value on champ2 instead of a rule to populate it.

In SharePoint Designer, if you reference the library, you will see tons more metadata, such as Encoded Absolute URL (plus many others). If you get the URL that way, you can add it to a field in your form by promoting that field, making it editable in SharePoint, and then using SPD to modify that column by adding the proper URL.

Based it off the filename instead of form title. There should be a specific URL for each that you can define easily. Translation is one-for-one.

Ok, I see what you're doing in the form, and I see what is happening. What I don't know is what you want to do with the vacation days. I don't see a calculation. I just see a radio button that sets itself to the value of 1, and then you have a rule that sets another text field to the value of the vacation days ...

Well, that's simple using what I said above but only if their initial entry into the form is through a URL in an email that you generate with SPD. I would need to know the full process to help, but it doesn't sound like you're associating what I'm saying with what you want to do. I think I understand, but you ...

Yes, you can do this, and I think it's pretty simple.
what you first have to realize is that when you create a data connection using this web service, you set it to default to the logged-in user and query automatically upon opening. what you're doing is sending the current user's username (same value as userName()) as the query ...
