Gotta remove the period. This is a really annoying bug with this forum. Try it now.

I'm guessing that you're drop-downs are populated from an XML form that is stored within the template and that the reason you are seeing this change is because only the forms working with the newest template are getting the updates.
Databases are one option for this, but I think you might want to look into using a SharePoint list to populate ...

Hi Alvin and welcome to the forum!
This can be done using the current() function as the default value for the second column. This has been discussed extensively in the forums and I'm sure if you do a search (upper right corner) for ''current function'' or ''current()'' you will find several posts to help you out. If you're still hitting a wall ...

Ok, I think you need to do this:
Replace each instance of ''xdXDocument:get-DOM()/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:tblADAllowanceActualHeader/d:tblADAllowanceActualDetail'' with ''current()'' and each instance of ''xdXDocument:get-DOM()/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:tblADAllowanceActualHeader'' with ''current()/..''

Hello leGeneral, I have done this with JScript before and it's not too bad. You'll want to look at the cloneNode() and appendChild() of an XML node object.

oDocument.appendChild(oSamplePage.cloneNode(false));
This HowTo has some code snippets that performs XML ...

Hello chimera02b! This has always been a big complaint about InfoPath - lack of print support, but there are some workarounds. For a little more ...

Hello lotusvball! Where are you putting this button to pop up the message box? My guess is that you will probably have to use the current() function to get at the appropriate values that you are trying to perform the lookup with, but I would like to know a little bit more about the schema of the form and what exactly you are trying to do.

Hey Eric,
Which example form are you trying to use? You might try opening the form in design mode and changing the data source connection to point to your own SQL server.

Hello Eric and welcome to the forums!
You should be able to accomlish this without writing any code. I have written a HowTo on doing this with a Drop-Down list box, but you should be able to follow it pretty closely and apply the same logic to a text box. It would probably be even easier.
After you have the fields populating like you want to, ...
