• Trying to add an incremental number.

Hello all, I realize that this idea is discussed in a few other threads as I used them to get this started on my form. I just cannot get this working and I need some help. I have a text field on a form called "projectID". I have another field called "ProjectNum" that is an Integer. I have rules ...

  • Re: Contact Selector

Thanks for the info, but times are tough, I need to find an "out of the box" solution. And to clarify something from above, the form is fully trusted already.

  • Re: Publish Infopath form to a Custom List

If you can't wait until the next release of SharePoint and InfoPath, you could use our SharePoint list mapper but it's a fire-and-forget model. In other words, you cannot edit the list items after you save and then reopen the form and expect the XML to be updated. If that's fine, send me e-mail and we can post the tool. We need to post ...

  • Re: Accessing expressionbox information in code.

Hey Ryan, Glad to hear you've discovered secondary data sources (2DSes). We love these for a variety of reasons (most because they're fast and useful for meta data like guidance text, workflow status, etc.). They do pose some limitations (eventing, validation, etc.). Check out our free qRules download for commands that help you copy ...

Hi Phil, Have you looked at Qdabra's Active Directory Web Service? http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/ADWebService.aspx It comes pre-bundled in the free trial of the Database Accelerator: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/core_documents/entry38256.aspx . You could install that and try it for free. We have numerous videos ...

  • Re: submitting data to database

Hi TheKing, It sounds like you have developed a database-backed form. Many people do this and experience numerous problems: When form's data source is extended , new fields cannot be mapped into database Database changes invalidate the form and require you run "Convert Main Data source". Old XML data may no longer ...

  • Re: Contact Selector

While I am still looking into resolving this, I am thinking that this may not work out for me. Are there any other solution alternatives that do not involve using an Active X control, and still getting the similar functionality? Or maybe could I use the same controls, but disable or not show them after submittal some how, and just show ...

  • Re: Error on publishing InfoPath forms from VISTA OS?: This document library was either renamed or deleted, or network problems are preventing the file from being saved. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.''

Hi Shiva, thank you for your response but the quotation marks in my thread are not used in the wizard based publishing that fails. I am not suing custom code to publish. the quotes were only a placeholder in my comments. It seems VISTA has a problem publishing IP forms to MOSS enterprise 2007 form libraireis.

  • Re: Accessing expressionbox information in code.

I came up with an interesting solution using a secondary data source. Essentially I created an XML file that was only used for display reasons. I set it up as a receiving source and then oddly enough, I write values to that node. This has bad results when used with a repeating table or section. I could use some sort of ...

  • Re: Hiding fields

Nice. Yes, after you got the data all you need is just to apply double eval trick to get concatenated string of group members. Then simple contains() check will give you desired result.
