• Re: Was getting current user name on form before data connection....

Hi, and welcome: You will have to modify your code to the correct XPath for your new form: user = root.SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:employee", Me.NamespaceManager) The bold section needs the XPath to the field you'd like to put the user error in. You can right click the field in the Data Source Task Pane on the ...

  • Infopath 2003, file attachment control and byte arrays

The form also needs to append a file to the list item (the issue). There is a web service in Sharepoint, AddAttachment, where I can pass a Base64 encoded string and ...

What happens if you just grab the Files group from the data source and drag it onto the form's surface and insert a section with controls (or right click and select section with controls). Do you get a warning then?

No errors? Are you sure the code event is firing? This is on a button, right? Have you tested on more than one machine?

  • Re: current doc object C# & InfoPath07

Hi -- There is a difference between IP2003 and 2007 object models. The example you are following is probably IP2003. You can either change your form to use the older OM, so you can follow the sample, or you can try to upgrade the sample code. To change your form, under Tools / Form Options / Programming you can remove your existing code and ...
