I'm hoping someone can help me on something that I'm struggling with regarding how I would do the following:
1. Evaluate a field called "BrandManager" that sits on a repeating table (The BrandManager names will vary across the repeating rows)...
2. Compare the previous "BrandManager" field ...

You aren't off base... but that is what we are doing with this line: foreach (XPathNavigator auxDomNode in auxDomNodes). We have a node list that we are calling auxDomNodes. In the for each statement, we are saying "for each of the nodes in that node list, do the following". So when we refer to auxDomNode in the for each statement, ...

Sounds like you're using an absolute XPath expression in one of your SelectSingleNode statements, or something along those lines. Could you post the latest version of your code so we can have a look?

Well you're absolutely correct. Again, like my first post said, I'm learning XPath and such now. I simply copied the XPath from my data sources and pasted them in, and we do get a better, yet not correct, result. The result now is that the repeating table does fill, but every entry is the first in the query ...

Hello Expert, Is there a workaround to verify if an input field has been changed by a user without writing code in the changed event? I've tried to create additional fields in the form and save the original data retrieved from the database.

I don't think "my:Applications" is a child of the newNode node, is it? Your xpath for the parent variable is "dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:Employee" which makes me believe this is a databound form. I'd expect '@Applications' for newNode.SelectSingleNode("my:Applications", this.NamespaceManager).

I don't, unfortunately, but I learned almost all of what I know just by tinkering around a lot. For coding with XML in InfoPath, reading the up on the XPathNavigator class will get you a long way. It's nearly the only XML-related class you'll need to use with InfoPath, and by far the most important methods are ...

Hi Clay,
Yes the problem was with how I was picking/setting my primary key. The problem I have now is that I can have the user enter in as many
sick days etc as needed and hit SUBMIT. It writes to the database fine. But when you go back in as the same user and enter in your credentials
it brings up all instances again? Is there some way to ...

I have a similar problem. I'm trying to create a solution using custom sequential workflow in Visual Studio.
