The title and first sentence of your post really have almost nothing to do with your actual question, and it doesn't really make sense to me to use a checkbox instead of a button for this purpose. Having a checkbox that says "No Show" and deleting the entire group instead of hiding it is misleading.

I just want to know can you a 1000 forms in a library be backed up and is it best to republish to make a change on a form with that many forms in the forms library?

this is the top half of the form .. there is still a few entries to add...roughly 15 or so its ALOT of info on a single person so there is always reason to edit the record but would like to do it from the form rather then the database but i want it to look as i have it now rather then the ugly boxes with the lines and the multiple records ...

Oh, I bet with 600 forms the checkboxes were a realy nightmare.... We have a resident SharePoint guru -- I'll ping her and see if she has any ideas....
