• Re: Date Issue

You should be able to change the format of the field. You can even do the conversion manually with string functions and two fields if neccessary. If you are blocked you could buy a support credit and I am sure we could get it working. http://www.qdabra.com/products_all.asp?cat=12

  • Re: Repeating sections shows same data

The import is not perfect. If you had repeating data in your Word form it will plug that into the sections as a default which is often not exactly what you would want. You may need to recreate the repeating section or look at the conditional formatting. If you would like some expert assistance you can purchase support credits here. ...

  • Re: Sending the form back to the email sender

Hi Phil. Welcome to the forum. There are several keys to a form with workflow. 1. Identify the user. Use an Active Directory Web Service or Code or mechanism to identify the person opening the form. This allows you to ID the person for auditing and tracking purposes. Validate that the correct person, the one who it has been ...

  • Re: pass info from one form to another

Yes this is possible. In code you can pass variables between two open forms. You can pass a variable on the command line when opening a form. You can also use a back end database to pass data.

  • Re: InfoPath as file binder?

Hi Simon. InfoPath can be used in this way. It sounds like you want to take the forms off-line or move them to other computers. InfoPath is architected to use a template. So the template has to be published, typically to some central location, but it can be published locally or in email. Part of the reason why is that when you make ...

  • Re: Validate textbox field against sql

So the problem is you are getting the values from the very first record not the one selected? A filter is what you need to say set the values but where jobnumber = WBS1. When selecting @airfareamount use the filter button and add WBS1 = JobNumber That way you get the data for the correct record. I work with databases and InfoPath every ...

  • Re: Hyperlink to file in InfoPath 2003

So using google in your field works? If so then it must be the hyperlink syntax. It seems to me I remember something that the hyperlink must be a web based one (http://). It could be a security setting in IE but if it opens via the browser then it should be OK. The file type link might not work. You could try a UNC path too ...

  • Re: Employee cannot open forms saved on shared drive.

You have stated the best practice Barmatt What I have seen before is that the map drive or UNC is different so that they are accessing it in a matter differently than it was published. When the Form is created it checks that the client is accessing it at the published location and XML files check this to. So if everyone use \\server\share ...
