I have Infopath 2003 and Sharepoint services 2003. The users do not have InfoPath. I put a form on a test sharepoint site, then I gave users access to the test site and they tried to bring it up in a web browser. They receive the following error message.

Okay, this is the 2nd thread I've started only to find my own problem. I apologize for those of you trying to help only to have me figure out my own bone-headed mistake.
The problem with the formula is an additional end parenthesis after the "T".
So this;
substring-after(translate(@ows_NextReleaseDate[@ows_OfferingID = ...

1. So you know, you've added jscript code to your form. It doesn't appear that you have actually written any script, just that you have added some event handlers. Did you maybe select the custom code option for submit?
2. When I walk back through the data connection wizard for your main data connection (following the steps I outlined for ...

I have an existing form that I'm modifying due to some internal business process changes. One of the fields displays a filtered date which uses the "translate" function. It essentially displays the date minus the "T" and h:m:s after it.

I get the popu message when I try to submit the form. I have attached the form and a mock version of the database. The original database contains a lot of private information so I attached a test version of that. I had both of them in the 'My Documents" folder

That is, when you created the form, you selected your database to create the form from? That is the only way InfoPath natively supports database ...

I couldn't figure out how to bind the event handler ouside of startup, so I ended up going with a temp holder storing the identifier of which tb is actually changing.
so each tb changed event looked like this. At the start it checks what is being chaged to make sure it should run:
(this is for ...

Thanks for getting back to me Hillary. I have re-run that wizard so many times, I think I'm going to see it in my sleep. The wizard connects to the database smoothly. I even checked out and tested the SQL code and it tests fine. When I look at the submit to options I see Email, Web service, SharePoint, Web Server, ...

I also have this problem, but it is not consistent. Most of my users see the form just fine, while others, including myself, have a skewed view of the form; it is extremely wide for us.
It doesn't seem to be specific to any version of outlook, as my users and the mix of people who have the problem are split between 2003 and 2007.
I ...

Ah, this is a browser compatible form, eh? I'm not sure how to do this in a browser form....
