I don't know either - it doesn't sound like the expected behavior. If you'd like us to investigate the error on the form you were working on (the one with the rules setting the search type), you can attach the XSN via the Options tab and we'll take a look.
Thanks.

Hi Ingeborg,
In the User Guide there are two sets of steps, one via the Start Menu links and another set of steps via command line. Can you try these after making sure there are no infopath.exe processes?
Thank you.

Hi,
qRules has been thoroughly tested with Windows 7 and is compatible.
Please check whether all of the InfoPath features have been installed. You can do this via an Office repair option. Expand the “Microsoft Office InfoPath” and make sure that the “.NET Programmability Support” node has been checked.

Could you attach the form template (via the Options tab) so we may take a look?
Thanks.

We have explored this option, via a ASP.NET web page, but I don't believe we've taken the option further than that.
Here's the example, let us know if it helps:

Yes, I believe that (unless you want to write some code) you would need rules to go thru each field and set them one by one. Sorry for the bad news!

What about creating a new form, and a new library, and seeing if it happens again?
I don't think reinstalling InfoPath will solve this.
