The problem lies in this line:
dataDom.setProperty("SelectionNamespaces", 'xmlns:dfs=http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/dataFormSolution xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/ado/dataFields" ' );
You never set the s0 namespace.

I know that this is a common request for a future release of InfoPath. While I can't speak for Microsoft and I don't have any specifics as to what features they plan for their next release (nor would I be able to divulge them if I did), I do know that they are at least aware of the idea you mentioned. Whether such a feature is ...

What you want is outside the abilities of the InfoPath designer to create (at least not without becoming overly complex). The best way to do what you want is to use code. The code can assign separate errors to each of the offending duplicates.

That is a good solution which I hesitated to suggest because many do not have control of the schema to do that. But if you do, that's the easiest way. Then you only have a single field to check against--concat already complete.

Not sure why you are not getting the option. Some designs are not supported in InfoPath.
Try designing a new form based on a SQL connection to a very simple single table)... i.e. nothing fancy - no table linked to another table, etc.
If this works, then check to make sure the design you are creating in your sql query string for connection ...

The '@' (typically pronounced 'at') symbol is used to differentiate an 'at'tribute from an element. So 'Item' is an element, while '@item' is an attribute.
Namespaces help keep names distinct and different. For example, there are lots of people in the world named Greg, but there are not as many named Greg ...

I don't understand.
What kind of data are you trying to populate into what kind of controls? So far as I've been able to tell it sounds like it is just simple text that should go into text fields. If that is the case then you should be able to use rules.
Once the user selects their name, you have an index value into your database. Use ...

Great. If you have the time, a little experimenting can be a good thing. If not, its better to go the sure, familiar course.
Good luck!
