• Re: During workflow Infopath form opens in client not browser

Try this article, I found it quite helpful. Force InfoPath to Open in a Browser! From this article: http://www.thorprojects.com/blog/archive/2007/09/26/infopath-form-services-and-workflow-tasks.aspx Let me know if that works out for you. Thanks! -Jason Hamlin

  • Re: Numbered List - Default Values

Anuma, That makes sense, but, wouldn't that mean everytime I publish fixes to my template I would lose the stuff I hard code into template.xml. Is there no way to put it into the design (.xsn)? PAW

  • Re: Spellnumber in InfoPath

Nice looking form. The problem is that when you pasted the JScript code into your new form, you overwrote the auto-generated SelectionNamespaces line, which the JScript uses for locating nodes by their namespaces. To fix this, open the code and replace this text on line ...

  • Re: Repeating Table copy previous record

Patrick Halstead's book is fantastic, but I'm really hot on these labs right now, because I think the hands on experience is fantastic. While these are written with IP 2003 in mind, the basics hold true through 2007, though the code object model changes....

  • Re: Using a Checkbox in a calculation?

Try putting @ApplyVAT into another set of parenthesis. I know for conditional defaults when I want a boolean expression to evaluate to 1 or 0, I have to use more parenthesis. So, like: sum(@InvoiceAmount * (@ApplyVAT))

  • Re: Secondary Connection for Drop-Down list

Can you attach your form template? When you reply, under the Options tab, you can attach a file.... Just to try to make sure I understand what you are saying, you have a secondary data connection (let's call it 2DS so we have a short name). On your form is a drop down list box bound to a data field in your Main Data Connection. For data ...

  • Using a Checkbox in a calculation?

Hi everyone, Does anyone know how to use the value from a checkbox on an InfoPath form as either 1 or 0 (ie True = 1, False = 0) I'm trying to do this in a repeating table, where the user will type in a value (eg an invoice amount) and then to the right of that set the check box = true if VAT should be added, or False if VAT is not ...

Are you getting a 5566 data access error when opening it, or do you just see no data?

Here is the blog post regarding the stuff explained above. The whole post talks about more than this topic, but the there is a whole section in it that explains the custom submit button with the proper rules and conditional formatting. Auto-Numbering InfoPath Forms

  • Re: Secondary Connection for Drop-Down list

Hillary, I continue to have the same problem as before. I have checked my secondary connection and it is set to receive data. In the Drop-down list properties, I have selected my secondary connection in the Data Connection box. In the entries box, I have selected the top level of the connection which is referring to another table in the db. ...
