What I think you should do is first try to get the preceding sibling part of the formula right. When done correctly, you should have basically a row counter in the milestone id field, so I'd think from your data source:
count(../preceding-sibling::d:msdbMilestone1/@MilestoneDetaiID1) + 1
After you have that working, and basically have a ...

Is it possible to sign a single row in a repeating table or a repeating section? If so, how do you do it? Right now it wants to sign all rows in the table.
The form is browser-enabled and I'm using Infopath 2007.
Thanks!
Karen.

I do understand what you are saying.
My need, however, is a bit more complex than this. In my case, with 25 checkboxes, a user will frequently be checking more than 1 - and may at times be selecting a dozen or more. Some how, the rules are going to need to append to my:EmailTo rather than add to it. But the InfoPath 2007 Rules for submit seemed ...

I don't have a working example, sorry.
Let's use the example of two checkboxes and I'll let you extrapolate.
If I check Checkbox 1, a rule sets my:EmailTo equal to Email 1.
If I check Checkbox 2, a rule sets my:EmailTo equal to Email 2.

Thanks for your help on this. I was able to finally get a Count rule to work as needed so I just avoid inserting the line in the repeating table again if it already exists.
It is working as I need it to at this point.
Thanks again for looking at it though!!

I have developed total of 5 web enabled forms and they are working properly in miscrosoft office share point server 2007. These pages use web services to retrieve data from database to populate dropdown list boxes and these are working correctly too. After the user save the form, i would like to send email notification to the list of users. Here ...

Thank you for your suggestion. I guess I don't know that I've learned how to do that sort of thing via rules yet. I would need 25 rules, I guess, each appending onto the end of either the To or Cc fields.
Does the Data Connection have a limit to the number of users in a To or Cc list?
Do you know of any examples that demonstrate ...

Will this work with a secondary data source?
I had the same problem i had rules on my dropdown that set the indivdual fields of my repeating table and only received the first record.
I then added a filters to the fileds from within the repeating table and I got the same results, only the first record.
So I tried dragging ...
