You can download a qRules trial here: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/download/qRulesTrial.aspx

I'd remove the rich text control and re-add it to the view.
-
One more try -
not(xdXDocument:GetDOM("Employee Tracker")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/dfs:Employee_Tracker[@AIM_ID = current()])
-
Try this instead:
xdXDocument:GetDOM("Employee Tracker")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/dfs:Employee_Tracker/@AIM_ID != current()
-
Add a Changed event to the field(s) that should run the code. Right click the field in the data source task pane, select Programming, and add a changed event (on after change for older versions of IP).

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to do this in InfoPath. There is no built in functionality for date or time differences. Options are custom code, qRules, or you can find some blog posts with rather complex formulas like this one - http://www.formsonfire.com/infopath/calculating-time-differences-in-infopath-without-custom-code/. ...

Can you change the first drop down in that condition to "the expression" and then copy and paste the resulting expression in a reply?
-
I'm having a little trouble understanding this - can you post a reply and add a screenshot under the Options tab?
-
So - sounds like your custom validation is incorrect? What does that look like? You can attach a screenshot under the Options tab.

Have you got access to the SharePoint logs so you can check that Correlation ID? Another option may be to disable the loopback check... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926642/en-us
