Not that I can think of out of the box. So - you get an access denied error from IP but not from the browser? You may have already done this - but have you tried (just for the sake of experimentation) creating a new form w/ a REST connection to see if it reproduces? Maybe help narrow the issue down....

What's the code you've tried?

You give me waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too much credit - here's where this originated: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/infopath/archive/2006/11/27/conditional-default-values.aspx
So - the difference (of course) between != 'true' and = 'false' is != 'true' also handles for the field being blank - I tend to prefer whatever ...

Here's a copy of your form - I changed your default to use a substring function for this, give it a try.

The bug in the OpenForm document, we got that fixed in 5.1 - here's the user guide info for that:OpenForm
Opens an XSN form, using an XML file if provided. Not browser compatible.
Parameters:
o path: Path or URL to XSN to open.
o data: Path or URL to XML to open. If /path is also provided, /data ...

Can you access your REST URL in the browser? I've not tested REST with IP in ShP 2013 yet...

Hi - I found this great article by Clayton Cobb that may help you: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mvpawardprogram/archive/2012/03/12/mvps-for-office-365-pre-populating-infopath-2010-forms.aspx

Hi - sorry about the issue in the user guide - we will get that typo fixed.
So - do you have the Error node on your form so you can see if you are getting any errors?
The command should be:
OpenUrlInBrowser /url=http://www.qdabra.com
So - Open Url In Browser, without the spaces. And your form needs to be full trust and the command is ...

Hi - GetInputParameter would be used in the target form you are opening. I can't really think of a way to use it for copying values into a new form. I think I would instead:Submit the form the user has open, so that the items they have checked are savedOpen the new form, passing in an input parameter that has the ID or URL of the form saved in ...
