Hi DBaker,
I would convert the form to a Universal Data Connection and then your form will work in the browser.
The Web service itself will have to be installed on one of the IIS servers in your domain and it will have to be set up to access your SQL database.
Good luck!

Hi SignalWarrant,
This is a limitation of list forms (and the biggest one). You will want to create a regular InfoPath form (start InfoPath Designer and choose Blank Form) and then map it to the list. Then you will have access to all of the features of InfoPath and you won't be limited by the list form restrictions.

Hi Scott,
You can get definitely get the computer name from the environment variables, but your form will have to be set to Full Trust security.
Qdabra Software pays for this free forum and our goal is to respond to 90% of all posts, but we can't write code for everyone who asks since it would take too much time and we are a small company ...

Hi Jurgen,
Why not just use default values and number them yourself to begin with. For new rows, you can have a rule on the repeating control that just sets your number column using the same formula. If you still get no love after these two, we'd be happy to provide ...

This should still not cause a problem since it will insert today's date as the default. I just tried it and it promotes to ...

Hi Sid,
Welcome to the forum!
Rules will fire within a form. If you are using list forms (seems so), then you can't have one form run rules with actions that set field values in another form. That isn't going to work.
You could use Web part connectors to connect to list forms together and the rule could be to send the values from List A ...

Hi Mr. Wilde,
SharePoint stores data in SQL. Those are SQL data type conversions. Your InfoPath form's data source can have fields that are of type date, time, or date and time. So, just change it to Date only and you should be good for the first one. For the second, it's a bit more complicated since double is converted into a decimal. ...

Hi Mr. Wilde,
InfoPath 2003 shipped with two weekly timesheets - Simple and Detailed. They're still available on the Microsoft site. We've developed ~10 weekly timesheets over the years including one we use for internal timekeeping. I'd be happy to show you the nuts and bolts. Just let me know.
