  • Re: Switch view based on user login

Wait, doesn't Active Directory require "DOMAIN\" to be prefixed for the user names?

  • Re: Read only Rows for a Repeating Table in Infopath...

Here are two ways I have handled this... In my repeating table I have the following columns: User - Records the user who entered the comment with the userName() Comment - Column for the user to leave a comment.  Method #1 - If you only want the user to be able to edit their comments... On the Comment field set a condition ...

  • Re: Custom XML Filename to Sharepoint Library

Hi, Ra: I've forwarded this to some other members of our team who are more familiar than I am with the document you mention, so we'll have someone else posting soon on that. I'm still perplexed as to why you are having to create columns in your SharePoint library for your promoted properties to be available in SharePoint Designer. ...
  • Re: Linking Drop Down Manual Lists

Hi JY, You can have your data in an access db and make a data connection to your db. That will work fine. There are other ways of doing it as well. Here is a link from MS where they do it using webservices for browser enabled forms http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2006/10/12/cascading-dropdowns-in-browser-forms.aspx You can also have all ...

  • Re: Custom XML Filename to Sharepoint Library

Hello everyone, So, after a couple days of trying, I conjured a workaround using an SPD workflow ... only to run into another DBXL set back (which I will tell you about in a second).  Basically, I created a workflow in SPD for the document library that the Qdabra DAT pointed to.  To get the promoted fields to actually show ...

  • Re: Help with Duplicates

Are you using InfoPath 2003 or 2007? I'm guessing 2003, since 2007 has an option of not displaying duplicates.... You can use XPath (with preceding-sibling) to filter. You can also modify the SQL statement in your SQL data connection that you are using to return the list, or you can create a view in SQL that just has the distinct ...

  • Re: Drop down with dynamic data source

This is exactly what I need to do too.  I only have one data source, but I need the rows to filter the data differently depending on different values in the first field of the current row of the repeating table.  Were you able to find a solution to this? Thanks

  • Show Blank Repeating Tables

Hello All: My issue is that I have an InfoPath 2003 form with an Access 2003 dbase.  Part of the InfoPath 2003 form contains a repeating that I've added some Data Validation to...my issue is that when a user queries the dbase to pull up a record the repeating table is collapsed (hidden) and the user has to intervene and click on insert ...

  • Re: How do I access a textbox value using VBScript

Do you mean for data connections in your form? You can modify that in manifest.xsf. Always save a copy of your form before saving as source files, in case you make a mistake! I actually (not that I'm recommending this) use find and replace to update things like this.... Open manifest.xsf in a text editor, find ...
