Hi all,
Is there no way in SharePoint to have an InfoPath filler form open and prompt you to check-out the file like Excel or other MS Office products do? We can't seem to get Check-in/Check-out to play nicely with the InfoPath file. And it's not being saved in the same location as the form library - it's being stored on an entirely ...

My guess would be something in your rules / defaults is causing a loop that wasn't getting caught in 2013 but is in 2016. Do the fields with default values that are getting updated have rules on them?

We are trying to track some inventory.
So I have a drop down list of the items (one field) and the current quantity for each (another field).
Those two are pulled from a SharePoint 2013 List.
I then have an AddQuantity filed in myFields.
I'd like to be able to add (and ideally subtract as well) a quantity that would update the quantity in ...

I'd probably see if one specific query was causing the issue by disabling all rules on the button and re-enabling one at at time. Do you get any additional messages in your logs when the error occurs?

Mine doesn't jump up and down the page, it is more of a jiggle as you click. This only happened after modifying the form with InfoPath. It is when someone is trying to click a checkbox. Sometimes it doesn't take.

I would start by comparing the InfoPath Forms Services settings between the two servers. Any differences?

Good morning, Hilary.
Thanks for by return, please can you show me the step-by-step how did you get that results in form1?
And from what I understand in your email, it is not possible to use it in a list?
