It's a bit convoluted, but this formula should do the trick:
(my:fieldA > 0) * (my:fieldB div (my:fieldA + (my:fieldA = 0)))

I'd suggest increasing the template version number so that it's higher than the version of the documents being migrated to it.

The only solution I can think of (and it's not a very good one), is to prefix the name of the required fields with some special suffix like req_, and then you could use formulas like this:
count((//*[not(*)] | //@*)[not(name() = "xml:lang")][starts-with(local-name(), 'req_')])
count((//*[not(*)] | ...

Hello,
We do have this on our list of future enhancements, though I'm not sure about the certainty that it will be included in the next version. We will certainly take your request into consideration when triaging this feature.
One workaround you can use is create your own 2DS with a field called PerformCommand, give it a rule to set ...

Hello,
Typically there shouldn't be a need to modify the solutionVersion and there are good reasons not to change it. Having the XML files contain an older solutionVersion than the template they are being migrated to allows for automatic upgrades to take place. OData utilizes a REST webservice like owssvr, so in IP2007, you'll either need code or you can use qRules as I describe in this blog post:
http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/jimmy/archive/2012/01/04/query-rest-webservices-from-infopath-2007-with-qrules.aspx
You can have a look at Hilary Stoupa's Channel9 video to get up to speed on ...

It doesn't appear that there is a way to do this. You wouldn't happen to be using ShP 2010 are you? If so, you could use its OData features to construct a more complex query.

Why is it that you believe you need to convert them to integers? Is it because they have commas or a decimal portion in them?

Approach 2 should work, and I reckon 3 would too. The issue is that anything as invasive as starting other processes is going to require your form to be full trust (that's what those SecurityExceptions mean). Please try again after setting your form to full trust.
