Hah, I was referring to your thread when I replied on MSDN. I hadn't noticed the same screen name on both.

Well? Don't leave us hangin'!

I'm not sure it would be any better with a rich client form. The root of the problem is the sheer amount of data and the speed of those systems when communicating (network speed, hops, authentication, bandwidth, RAM, processor, etc).
There may be some other way to optimize it for InfoPath, but I don't know of one personally.

That's strange, but it's likely being caused by your submit data connection as Ernesto was asking. Can you type out the specifics of your submit operation? You may need to spend time making your submit create a dynamic, automated filename such as in my blog post:

Do you have the form library set to require check out? That would be the only reason it does this, because it's not a default setting. If you don't require check out, then turn that off in the Versioning Settings.
As for workflow, SPD does have built-in activities for checking in a file if you want to do that.

is it possible to have nultiple contact selectors on a single IP form??? if yes, doea all the controls point to the same data source???

Yes, you can. This thread talks about having 5 on one form. Yes, they all point to Active Directory.

I don't know how you would bring up any sort of page with a right-click. There are no right-click options other than OS-related commands. I am not sure what those pages would even be. You could have hyperlinks in the form next to text boxes that pull up some URL (page) with text that you can copy, I suppose.

This is involved enough that I'll have to work on it after work, but maybe one of the Qdabra folks will be able to review it during the day.

Pre-filled template pages? What is that? How would a page go into a text box?
