• Re: MultiSelect Select All

I am not sure I am clear but I will give it a shot. Is the data source a database? The multiselect is used as a query field? I assume you have a short list of all the availabale item names or something and then use that to select items to retrieve details on. If you have no items in the multiselect then you would need to reset you ...

  • Re: MultiSelect Select All

You have not described what you are trying to do but usually if you are letting the user select a subset of data you are using a filter. Unless you are using a web service InfoPath loads whole data sets. So the options would be if checkbox is false then filter by drop down selection(s). If checkbox is true, do not filter and show ...

  • Re: Collect data by using email messages automatically into SQL 2005

InfoPath can do an offline form with dropdown and other validation aspects. Do you want to email a query directly to SQL? That could be trickier. Emailing the form to a local user or saving it and then submitting once online works great to send data directly to SQL via ODBC or web service.

Ink support is only available on clients which have XP tablet edition or in Vista, which supports ink. It cannot be enabled otherwise.

Have you looked at the AD websevice from Qdabra? It is cheap, requires no client code, and can be added very easily as a data connection.

  • Re: Remove Infopath Templates from Sharepoint

Hey Jamie. Best practice is to save the templates locally and then just publish them to the library. You should be able to delete them if they are duplicates. What are they named in the forms folder? The template.xsn would be the current one but I am curious what they are called.

Not in the control itself but you could have a check box beside it that the user could check. then have logic that if it is checked to interpret it as not filtering the list but showing everything.

  • Re: Default Save Location

Hey there. To qualify a "submit" to SharePoint for instance is the same as a save. The XML document is saved to a Form Library. Best practice is to use a submit since then you can control where and how it is named rather than depending on the user to do this right or to take the time. If you use the toolbar they can ...

  • Re: The email attachment is not being sent along with form!

Once it is submitted to sharepoint. Switch to a new view which you create to be the body of the email. Have a text field which has the URL to the form. Concatenate the url to the library with the form name you are saving it with. Then when it is received in email, Outlook will treat it like a hyperlink since it begins with http..

  • Re: Relocating a template off of a server to a local workgroup drive

Any new forms should be fine but any previous forms have the previous template location saved in them. Qdabra has a tool for bulk editing templates and updating the saved link. Of you could possibly create a DNS alias for the old server and point it to the new one and make sure the local path was the same. Domain security is fine in most ...
