• SwitchView executes but no view switching

    Hi All. Within my task pane there is a fax button which faxes the form. The pressing of this button calls into managed code. The flow within the managed code method is; 1. SwitchView to the Fax view. 2. do all fax processing. 3. SwitchView back to the original view. It is line 3 which exexutes fine but the view just does not switch. Any ideas? ...

  • Re: PrintOut() and default printers

    Hi Greg, thanks for your reply. I did think this was a timing issue at the beginning but i believe there must be something somewhere being recorded because to really simplify my example; A test harness has been created which has a button control. The button control calls thisXDocument.PrintOut() in managed code. The first time this button is ...

  • PrintOut() and default printers

    Hi All, Here is an interesting PrintOut() scenario. As expected, calling PrintOut() with no printerName set in the view printSettings results with the InfoPath form being printed out to the user's default printer. To simplify the scenario. The same form has two views; one view to print the whole form on A4 paper. a second view to print parts ...

  • Re: Populate webservice XML Node parameter

    Agni. Thanks for your reply and time. This worked a treat. The only difference was i needed to assign a Node to the parameter and not a document. So the final code was; //create a dom with your XML string sXml = ''<HELP><Scott>Test</Scott></HELP>'' ; IXMLDOMDocument oXml = thisXDocument.CreateDOM(); oXml.async = ...

  • Populate webservice XML Node parameter

    Hi All, Please could someone advise me on how to populate an XML Node parameter on a secondary data source webservice call. The simplified code below errors with ''The left-hand side of an assignment must be a variable, property or indexer'' I understand the error but i am now confused as to how i am going to populate this non simple data type ...

  • Re: Uniquely Identify an InfoPath form at runtime.

    Hi Patrick, thanks for your reply. I am relieved to hear i am not going mad!! we are using managed code, so this is quite an easy issue to resolve. Have i missed some fundamental concept - why is there no ''form id'' type property? Thanks again for your reply Scott

  • Uniquely Identify an InfoPath form at runtime.

    Hi All, In the scenario of having multiple different InfoPath forms open at the same time, using managed code how would you uniquely identify an InfoPath form. that is maybe you are iterating through the Application's XDocuments collection. What / Where is the ''form ID'' type property. Many thanks in advance Scott

  • Re: Cannot Re Enable CommandBars within _Shutdown ...

    Thanks Greg. Unfortunatly i cannot place a close button on the form. For the time being the solution is going to be - using the OnLoad event, all menus will be enabled. Then appropriate menus will be disabled. I know this is not the nicest solution. but it will have to do for the this iteration. Scott

  • Cannot Re Enable CommandBars within _Shutdown ...

    Hi All, I am using the InfoPath OnLoad event for disabling certain menus. Ideally i would like to re enable these menus when the user closes the form. As there is no OnClose event i looked at the _Shutdown event. I would like to understand why the _Shutdown event cannot be used for such processing? many thanks Scott
