• Re: switch to edit mode on button click

Infopath doesn't work the way you are wanting it to work(out of the box) unfortunately. When you open a new form, Infopath generates a new ID(internally) for that form. Ex: You open a form (Form1), type in your data and save it. It saves as Form1 (it may be named different for you). You open a new form (Form2), ...

When you say "no one can get to it but me", do you mean they can't even see the form library, or they can see the library, just not open the form?

The "and" and "or" are complicated for alot of people. @Mgauf - your rules are technically correct, but they will not work as intended. The reason they are not going to work as intended is because of the way the rule is written. Your rule 1 says if OM1 equals "something" and if OMSID equals "something" OR ...

(it says Vista, but it works on XP) http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/View-or-manage-your-certificates You can also check the exp date of the certificates when in InfoPath, Form Options -> Security -> when you ...

Happy to hear it worked. The filter is a great tool. Filter is kinda like an if/then statement. It is also so much more.

You will learn more with experience. Try this and see if works for you: In the FileName Properties add a new rule click add (name the rule as you wish) click add action from the drop down, select Set a fields value in the Field text box, select the find a field button, find the Client ID in the Main Data source in the Value text box, ...

Are you filtering to get the other fields, or just pulling them straight from the PO data source?

  • Re: Change view based on selection in another form

The error is just saying either that the objXDoc form hasn't loaded all the way when the SwitchView was called or the view wasn't active when that line of code was called. Is there any reason as to why you are using multiple forms instead of one form? Just curious is all. If the SwitchView did not work, then unfortunately, I ...
