Yes my "mapping" stayed the same.  I ended up deleting and recreating both the mapping and the submit connections and was able to get it to work. Thanks.

correction:  Condition would be DisplayMode=1 (Open Items)

Add a rule that set the condition "status" neq "Completed" What would the action be?
