Are you using 2007?
You can set a whole view readonly in its properties.
You could set all of the fields with this logic but it would be easier to make a copy of 2,3 and 4 - set each of the copy views to read-only and then just put the logic in your buttons whether to route them to the edit or read-only copies.

You can use an image for the background or a watermark.
That is the only way I know you could put fields as an overlay of an image. There could maybe be some activeX control available that could be used as a custom control but you would have to hunt for that.

We store our forms in SQL often. This allows full text search of any data in the form.
I do not beleive this is possible in SharePoint. Promoted properties would be the only searchable component.

My guess is that it is not the way it is triggered but the compatibility of the code itself with a citrix session and it is not able to get the specific username from the terminal session.

Parent 2.0
Child 2.1 (current parent number.row ...

Then it should be pretty straightforward to setup the cascading dropdowns.
There is not a way to make one dropdown dynamic this way.
However you can make three dropdowns, one setup for each and then use conditional formating to hide the two you don't need based on the ...

Interesting.
Is it by user or computer?
If you login to their computer does it work or not?
Often this has to do with IE settings I find, but let me know the answer to whether it is a machine setup or user configuration.
