A sample is fine - this form won't preview tho. Can you put together a sample that I can preview that will show the issue?
-
Are you using rules to set these values? Or defaults? If you'd like me to take a quick look at your form, attach it under the Options tab in a reply - this sounds like a logic error of some kind but it is really hard to pinpoint just from a description. :)

The problem is not your target form - it is set up correctly (see the attached screenshot - I used the command prompt to pass in input params to the form). I think the problem is that your form is on a network location and URL parameters are not being passed in. Will your final form be on a network location? Or published to SharePoint?

I don't know that I've tried this with a form published to a local or network drive, which I am guessing is what you are doing. You can test the command in your target form using the command prompt - you can pass in your input params via command prompt and verify that the target form works. More here - ...

You bet - glad that worked for you!
-
You'll be wanting an "&" in here:
concat ("P:\infopath test\target form.xsn?openin=client&name=", name)
-
So - what is the URL you are using to open the form? Has it got the "name" query parameter in it?
-
I think you are missing a space between the command name and the parameter. Set the command field to:
GetInputParameter /key=name

Hi - sounds like there may be a problem with your qRules command. What is the syntax of the command you are using in the target form? When does the command execute?
-
So, that could mean that the data connection is returning no results.... Now the question is why. :)
So - I would probably make sure I knew exactly what the where clause is in this case. Do you know you have results for the selected Department? Are you able to run SQL trace to see the query being executed?
