I have:
-Created SQL DB
-Created web service
-Created web form using web service
-Tested the form in Info Path (data was written to DB)
-Published Form (doesnt work)
I assume I now need to convert to UDC, Create SSO, modify UDC?
Can you point me in a direction that will help me with this?

You can use the
1.Update List item or 2.Set field in item. Both this should work.
If, this fails the reason would be the version of MOSS Update you have.
If you have SharePoint (MOSS) with January Cummulative update on your server, this wont work. This however works before the January update and after June or August Cumm Update or ...

I'm having issues trying to promote the AccountID field to a people/group datatype. What action do you use in SPD workflow to accomplish this?

I know. However, It would be better if Sharepoint could provide a way to do it without losing that information either.

set the default value of the concatenated text box to, you have to insert group2 using insert field or group

This is the exact behaviour i am also seeing. But at home when i do this in IP2007, i don't observe this thing. May be a difference in IP2003 and IP2007 ?
