Hello,
I am developing a web-based form with InfoPath 2007 that is hosted in MOSS (InfoPath Forms Services, FormServer.aspx)
The form is used in a workflow provided by a 3rd party product that integrates with MOSS and InfoPath.
Rather than using the toolbar with the "Send" button provided by InfoPath, the form uses buttons inside it, ...

I tried to create an ODBC connection via the InfoPath Data Connections but got the same Oracle error message. I have successfully created an ODBC connection outside of InfoPath and am able to connect to Oracle via command prompt. What's the deal with InfoPath?? Any improvement in 2010>

Hi Shaun,
We built the Web Service to do this since it cannot be done programmatically without a Web Service. You can filter SharePoint list using qRules v2.0 and owssvr but for SQL filtering on the server, you'll have to install a server component.
Good luck!

Hi Carl,
Easy to do this using InfoPath, a Web Service and SQL. If you install Qdabra's free trial Web Service (DBXL) you could have a solution in <1 hour that pulls the data from SQL and submits it back to SQL. This is a very common design pattern. If you'd like help setting it up, let us know. Good luck!

Hi Chris,
I don't think separate content types can use the same column. Try defining a separate column for InfoPath and then usng a rule in the view to display contents of one column or another depending on the type.

The qRules command GetInputParameter returns the value of the key IF it exists. In

I think the scenario you're describing is documented in Mel's blog (click here). Have you read it?

Here's the error I get when I execute the command.
An unexpected error occurred executing the rule. Action:
SaveToSharePoint Arguments: System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2[System.String,System.String]
Details: The method or ...

Sure - i stripped it down to only the two fileds needed. You would need two sharepoint lists as datasource. One with only the list of ITLines and a second one with the above mentioned structure - RL1+ITline
Thnx Michael

Okay, so this is also possible?
Maybe someone could explain me some more? I have no idea on how to achieve this.
Or maybe it's best for me to upgrade to 2007? Since I'm not that familliar with InfoPath....
Thanks.
