Hello. I am experiencing the same issue as well. Any ideas?

My problem is, when I add new information to my XML excel sheets the new information is not showing up on my form when I open it. So what I'm doing to get me by until I figure it out is create a new data connection for each field that I updated. I'm using Info Path 2003, I have to design all the companies forms and I am ...

e.Source will get you the current node -- the one the button is in. So, you can modify:
thisXDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode("/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:A_PlaylistData/@APD_FilenameAndPath").text = sFilename;

What happens if you create a new form with the tables linked? Comparing like to like? I'm wondering if there isn't something else in your form causing the slowness, and that may be a way to start testing.

Is the main data source complex? Or just a single table?

The only way I know to do this is to create a new button, select Edit Code to add the event handler to the code module, and copy in your code. Sorry there isn't an easier way!
-
Hi -- if you accidentally add code to your form with qRules injected, InfoPath basically assumes that the code you've just created is the code you want to use. Simply close your template and re-inject.
To completely remove, take the steps you already did to accidentally remove the code module -- click Edit Form Code to open the editor, then ...

Is this a SQL connection? Access? XML? What do you want to have happen after the record is selected?
Sometimes in SQL, I add a dummy field to a view that I then bind a checkbox to: CAST(0 AS BIT) AS SelectedRow for my new field, for example. If your data source is an XML file, simply modify the XML file to include an element for selection.
