Good point Jett but in my code i do set the query back to its original state. Also if you notice you can use the modified button to query and immediately click the NEW RECORD and then Submit button and it is fine. Due to the proprietary information on the form, I had to remove the text surrounding the fields. I left the relevant ones, though (Employee Name, Version).

I just tried 3 more fields (a date, another text field, and a combo box) and experienced the same effects.
