Hi Patrick,
I want to use contacts out of outlook 2007 which are imported of a sharepoint contact list. How could
it work? Is there a manual or something like that available.
Thanks in advance.

If you are using the rich client, the contact selector will pull from your Outlook contacts. If your Outlook contacts show SharePoint contacts, then it should show those too.

You might also post some screenshots of the error the external user is getting to ...

It really sounds like a server environment issue rather than an issue with InfoPath - espeically since you said that you tried this with a simple form and no data connections (so you removed the data connections as an issue).
How did you publish your template?

This is a pretty common question, if you search the forums you should find a number of threads on this.
For example here is one good thread that discusses several different ways of doing this including querying SharePoint for the ...

Hi Jenlianne, welcome to the InfoPath Dev forums.
Can you explain a little bit more about the data loss you are experiencing? What exactly is happening here? You do need to be careful when making changes to a form template so that you don't break existing forms, perhaps that is what is happening to you?
For example here is a post ...

Hi, and welcome to the InfoPath Dev forums.
It sounds like you are not saving your "form" anywhere but instead using InfoPath to submit the data to Access, is that right? Typically I would think of using an actual form (XML saved somwhere, SharePoint, network folder etc) and when the user submits the form you could have the form ...
