So - put a second copy of the same table on your form without those four columns. Add conditional formatting to this copy of the table to hide rows where those 4 columns are not blank. In your original copy of the same table, hide rows where those four columns are blank. Hopefully the sample I included with my previous post will help clarify this ...

I had not remembered that a form field could be added to a footer, but I see that it can (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath-help/insert-data-from-the-form-in-a-header-or-footer-HA010024034.aspx)
If you print via the InfoPath File menu, does the footer print correctly?

Yeah - that wasn't quite what I meant. Sorry for being unclear.
First off, I was assuming this was a table you were displaying, not writing to - that it was from a secondary data source. Is that the case? Or is it in your main data source?
I was just intending that you do something more like the attached.

If you click the submit button in your form, and get an error in IPFS do you also have an error in the Qdabra Event Viewer Log?
-
Hi - can you check the Qdabra event log? I'm assuming your submit is simply submitting to DBXL?

Okay - there is nothing you can do to prevent them from saving with validation errors, other than asking them nicely. You may want to try setting up a new test form in a test library to see if you can figure out the issue you were having with submit so you can disable Save and force them to submit.

Unfortunately a browser form with code either needs to go in the Sandbox (which means you have to be a site collection admin and publish directly to the library) or be admin approved (which means it is uploaded to central admin. I don't know of a way to do what you want to do without code, however.

Not a stupid question at all - the snippet of logs you posted said "For more information, turn off customErrors in the server's .config file." From what Jim said, I'm guessing that is the web.config for the SharePoint server? Is this a farm or a single server?

So - sorry to pester you with questions - are they saving the form? Or do you have a submit button that they use? InfoPath will let you save a form with validation errors - it usually tells you about the errors tho and verifies you REALLY want to save. But it won't let you submit with errors. Is save enabled for the form template?
