Hi,
unfortunately you can´t use "SelectText" or "SelectNodes" in a browser compatible form. The message that you will get is:
'SelectText' is not a member of 'Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.View'
As far as I know there´s no way to set the focus to a specific control in a browser-enabled form. I´m personally ...

Hi,
your error is definitely a network related error. Your application cannot connect to the mail server specified --- so you have to check:
Is a valid SMTP Server

If you can't ping the server we can't do much to solve that for you. It sounds like the SMTP server is somewhere on your company intranet that's not accessible from your machine. Perhaps you need to connect to the network by VPN, or develop your form using a machine that's connected to the network.

I am very, very new to InfoPath so if possible very detailed ...

Could it be that the SMTP server bhldscas1.internal.borusan.com isn't accessible from the machine where you're testing this form? You can determine if that's the case by doing a ping from the Windows command line.

It does sound like a permissions issue. One idea is to convert your data connection to UDCX (then approve it).

If you want to give it a shot, I think there might be a way to do this without code, just via rules. The form name is stored in the xml:
<?mso-infoPathSolution solutionVersion="1.0.0.2348" productVersion="12.0.0" PIVersion="1.0.0.0" href="<XSN URL>" name="<URN SCHEMA INFO>"?> ...
