Ted,
Is there any way to have the data fed into a list for people to just view or have a form that will submit data to a list? I need the data to be viewable via SharePoint, just not editable. There might be a better way to accomplish what I'm going for, but I I really like InfoPath's ability to design forms since I'm going ...

Hi Dave,
Once submitted the data is stored as an XML blob the SharePoint SQL DB and returned in columns to the library (SharePoint does this automatically). However, you don't have direct access to the data in SQL that way. You can export directly to Excel from the library (see attached screenshot) but if you have ...

Ted,
First off let me say thanks for the feedback.
I was able to get the form published as you had suggested and this solved one of my problems. My next question is, once the data is submitted where does it go? I thought I would be able to link this to a list, but I don't see where I have that option. What I am looking for is a way to view ...

Hi Rajapriya,
You will need InfoPath 2007 installed in order to open the 2007 form template that you have. I also found a forum link on MSDN, regarding Visual Studio 2008, that might be useful for you: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/vsto/thread/75eba78e-ee3e-4b32-8f31-ce70fc0914b2

Thank you for your response.

(2) Yes, I will ...

Hi Eihab,

You should create a special group for these users (for example create an "approvers" group in SharePoint) and then edit their permissions. See the attached screenshot that ...

Thanks again for the help.
I get the NaN error on the calculation in the Total box.. I have tried different things but nothing seems to help. Does this have to do with my fields from the Access database itself?? I have looked at a few other posts, but nothing seems to help, even though the issues seem to be the same. Here are ...

Hi Romek and welcome to the InfoPath Dev forums.
Unfortunatley rich text from InfoPath won't show as Rich Text in SharePoint, it is a limitation of SharePoint/InfoPath. There is also a limitation with the size of the column in SharePoint, by default the maximum amount of data from your InfoPath form is only 255 charachters. There ...

Hi Dave,
Have you configured your InfoPath template to submit to a SharePoint library? Unless I am misunderstanding what you are trying to do it seems like that is the thing you are missing? Once published to the library and you have "promoted" the fields you want shown in SharePoint from InfoPath users can create new ...
