yes it is possible to do so,
you can create say x sections and drop your repeating table in them, with varying column, and display the appropriate section at run time based on the number of columns you retrieve.
-
it seems that you dont have access to the other document libary. try giving yourself access to other document libary and see if that works
-
create a secondary data connection to your excel file.
and on name text box write rule to set value of department text box to data from secondary data connection, filtered on name (name of employee in infopath = name of employee in excel)
-
are you having any rules at submission time that can change the value of these forms.
try putting rules on submit button that will cap the values and then submit.
if it doesnt work upload the xsn and let us see what is going wrong
-
if you are talking about creating columns at run time in repeating table, then it is impossible to the best of my knowledge.
-
drop a button on to the form, double click the form -> edit form code.
write the code there.
-
make sure you are first firing the rules and then you are submitting, it seems that the form is submitted first and then the rules get fired.
other option will be to try splitting the actions on to many rules.
-
you will need to go through every field of your secondary data connection. in the data source choose your secondary data connection, go to its field and right click go to logic inspector, there you will find if the field is used any where
-
this.saveas("your path");
should do the stuff for you
-
what exactly do you mean by centrally located in sharepoint.
