I am having trouble with users opening old forms templates after I republish them.
Is there a way to force them to choose to replace old form when they get that prompt?
It seems as though there is a local copy saved to their machine.
Is this the case?

Hi all.
Total newbie struggling to learn as I go.
I have a drop-down list-box which displays the first column of a Sharepoint list.
I'd like to display the second column of that list next to it, when the user makes their selection, but I can't get my head around how to do it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

im trying to do a simple view switch based on the user role but cant seem to see where i get the condition set up.
ive got 2 views set up.
i go into tools > form options > open and save then 'rules'
i can set action to switch views but cant see how i set the condition as there is no access to a 'user role' ...

It's probably not essential that the user knows the scanID before being submitted to the database...However, when I have the field in the database, it automatically looks for data from the form for a scanID...How would you go about submitting the data from the form, and not having the form expect a scanID, but auto-incrementing it? ...

I figured it out, why the Web Service using InfoPath 2008 could not be established. The reason is simple if you know him. Here me solution:
Add the external Web Service as Web Reference (Main » Project » Web Reference). Follow the wizard, insert the URL for WSDL and give the service an appropriate name.

Thanks for your help. I messed around with the row spacing on mine and got it working like you suggested. I wish Infopath was not this picky and that it could detect these problems on it's own. Thanks again.

1 called "Subject" 2 "Journal" where both retrieves data from secondary source
In Subject i have 3 values Adhesives, Biomaterials, Management and each value has its output on the 2 multi selection listbox ...
