If your Date and your Time fields always have data, your new date time field could use a concat formula for its default value: concat(datefield, "T", timefield)
If they don't both always have data, you may want to use rules for this instead. Add a rule on the date field to set the new date time field using a formula like the ...

I'm glad that worked! It is always a challenge when you need to maintain a form someone else designed :)

Looks like you already have a form load rule to set these fields - the rule name is New Form - Pre-Populate Employee Data. But the EventConEmail and the RequestorPhone also have default values (in the field properties). I would remove the default values and just let these fields get set with the form load rules. The same rules are on the Update ...

Can I see a copy of your form? You can attach a copy under the Options tab - it will be Monday before I can take a look. The rule I'm talking about would be on the Form Load rules - under Data > Form Load.

The ID field isn't populated until the first submit to the list. If you open an existing item, do you see data in that field?

So - On my machine I've got InfoPath 2013 64-bit and the latest Office from Office 365, also 64-bit. See attached screenshot for what an email submit in InfoPath Filler looks like for me. Another user in this thread posted a link to a patch - don't know if this fixes it or not, but worth a try: ...

Does the underline show both in the designer and in the published form? Could it be a style was applied? I sometimes have something similar happen in repeating table headers when InfoPath applies a style.
