I am not sure how to combine main data source fields in a repeating table generated from a secondary data source, but I think the Qdabra folks do, so let's see what they say. This is a common thing that people want to do (myself included), but I've never figured out how. If I do figure it out, or if someone leads us in the ...

Have you tried the CopyTable qRule from Qdabra (here on this site)? It might accomplish what you need for copying data from one repeating table to the next. For a browser form, it might require administrative approval, though.

Instead of making your own table in the form, just drag the repeating group from your List data connection to the canvas. When prompted, tell it to create a Repeating Table with controls. It will auto-create a repeating table for you with both columns showing. Then, when you preview it (or click New), it will autopopulate that ...

You said SharePoint is on your local machine. Is it part of the domain, and are you logged into your machine with the proper Windows ID? SharePoint uses windows authentication with integrated login so that it picks up your Windows ID and pases it through IIS without you having to log in. This doesn't work if any of that is ...

Why is that prompt coming up if they have already submitted it to the library? It should only come up if the form has not been saved/submitted. Are you saying that users are switching the view themselves? I thought you were saying that after submitting, it takes them to the other view without closing. If so, that message ...

You don't have to generate the filename with a timestamp, but that is what I usually do.
I don't even know what you mean by 1 unless you mean extracting the data from a non-SharePoint form and sending it to a list via code.
What are you trying to avoid/accomplish with a method other than publishing it to SharePoint how it's ...

Ok, I do this sort of thing a lot, but I haven't done it with Access as my source of data. In your data connection to Access, are you connecting to the MDB itself or to individual tables? If it's to individual tables, then do you have 2 separate connections - one for each table that has data? If it only connects straight ...

Ian, the error was clear, and the replies were also clear. It was an infinite loop caused by a rule, and rules are not bound to CONTROLS, but rather to data fields (same goes for data validation).
You can handle else statements with multiple conditions. You can do 1 and (2 or 3) with the proper ordering of condition rules or by ...

To begin with, you don't need to use that web service to get the username. You just use the function userName() and use a rule or default value to put it in your text field. This will return the username of the current user and can surely be used for hiding parts of your form or for switching views. You can then use that ...

Email-integrated InfoPath forms only work with Outlook 2007. For others, you will need to email it as an attachment, which is one of the two options when you configure your Submit to Email data connection.
