Are you in England?

Well, you could add a validation message (popup) if you were using the InfoPath Filler, but guessing that you aren't.
So, I would add a screentip to guide users to input the needful.
To answer your question explicitly: no, unfortunately, you can't change that message. Life!

Right!
If your view is of a reasonable length (<4 pages in InfoPath Designer) then you should use sections, not separate views.
Why?
views take seconds to switch to, sections don't
sections can be maintained with less effort, no separate view updates needed

Note: this may not work in the browser - I wasn't able to verify.

Hey Bro-grammer,
This questions comes up a lot and there are numerous posts on using the max(ID) xpath function, but it doesn't work well when there are permission restrictions on views or people submitting at the same time.
If you are using an InfoPath form, I recommend:
Create a field in your form called "key" and make it a ...

Hi Dottie,
Hilary is off until September 1st.
First off, you should add a dropdown to pre-filter your multi-selection box to reduce the total amount of records. 3000 records is not going to work well in IE. The fact that it works in FireFox just means that FireFox is more efficient at displaying that control, but you really should not expect ...
