Here is what I am trying to do in my expression box:
Companies[@ID = 6]/@Name
However, instead of using the number 6 as my parameter for the ID, i would like to query from the main data source.
So I think it should be something like ...

Thank you very much for your reply ,Qazi!
I will try - could you please tell me more regarding the function/formula that generates uni`ue name for each form?
Also, I have the following problem - while trying to create such a form on the SharePoint itself (it seems to me that this is not possible at a folder level within a ...

It appears that there is a work-around for this problem, although not a great one, in my opinion, since it gives more money to Microsoft. I installed InfoPath 2007 and now the problem has disapeared!
I was hoping to not have to go this route, and perhaps in the future there will be a fix for Windows 7 running InfoPath 2003. If ...

Yeah, I figured out where my logic was flawed. I was putting the back end db on the personal drive and front end on the public server. After I switched that and added a password to the back end db, everything's been working as I had hoped (quick, knock on wood!).

I need to change MyCurrentUser to lower case so that it will ...

Please try this formula:
not(SustainApprovers/@Person[msxsl:string-compare(., MyCurrentUser, '', 'i') = 0])
You'll of course need to provide the full paths to @Person and MyCurrentUser, not these simplified versions.

I have successfully loaded other web based forms on my SharePoint site and when I close them I'm directed back to the page where I selected the form. On this new form I have uploaded, when I go to close the form I get a "The form has been closed." message at the top of the page. Any ideas?

Is there anyway to send Repeating Section Fields to a SharePoint list as seperate items? I know I can merge them into on item in the list but i would like to break them out in another list as seperate items without redoing the form. If there is a way I'd love to hear it, but I have not found the way. Note: The form is web enabled. I only ...

I get the following error when trying to open a new form:
"Your user name or group membership cannot be verified because the form's security settings do not permit it."
I created a form that accesses our company's intranet site to grab username information. Everything was working just fine until IT pushed out a ...
