Silly question - but you republished the form after changing the data connections to UDCX, right? Do you have access to the SharePoint logs? Sometimes the info there is more detailed than what makes it back to the browser....

Thanks for the details. I put a calculated value on your form with this formula:
(my:Acc4 - my:AccRead4) * 1000
I formatted the calc'd value to display the XML value, so I'd see exactly what IP is working with. Then I previewed, and changed Acc4 to 33. See the attached screenshot. You may need to use a substring function to trim these ...

Thanks! Okay, so I am not the mathiest sort of person, so I need a little remedial help to understand what's wrong. I previewed the form and selected the model number, then filled out the Reading column.... what's a good example that show this not working? Maybe attach a screenshot for me? What are the values for field 3 and field 2 in these cases?

Any chance I could get you to attach your form (under the Options tab when you reply)? I'm pretty sure this is just going to be a matter of adding a filter to the data, but it will be easier for me to explain if I see your form. :)

Can you add logic that checks for the required fields prior to submit? That is, don't let them try to submit as long as these required fields are blank - is that an option?
-
Oh yuck. The best laid plans annihilated by users, right? :)
I can't think of a thing that will get you around this kind of user behavior.... if approvals are in the form. Have you thought about using an approval workflow instead? Something outside of the form? Or do they have to be able to make changes to the form data as part of the ...

I'm glad you got this sorted out. To clarify, InfoPath does not require a submit button - we often just use a regular button with rules and actions - so it may be something else is up with your form.
